· JVASP-37271· Sm2MgIr

Sm₂MgIr is an intermetallic ceramic compound combining samarium (rare earth), magnesium, and iridium—a research-phase material rather than a commercialized engineering ceramic. This compound belongs to the family of rare-earth intermetallics being investigated for high-temperature structural applications and potential thermoelectric or magnetic device applications where the combination of rare-earth and noble-metal phases may offer tailored electronic properties. Development of such materials targets specialized aerospace, high-temperature electronics, or advanced energy-conversion systems where conventional ceramics or superalloys reach performance limits.

Regulatory Screening

Environmental

RoHS, REACH, and Prop 65 statuses are validated against official substance lists (ECHA SVHC Candidate List, OEHHA Prop 65, RoHS Annex II). Other regulations are estimated from composition and material classification. All screening is a starting point for due diligence — always verify with your supplier before making compliance decisions.
