RhTaOFN

RhTaOFN is an experimental mixed-metal oxynitride ceramic containing rhodium, tantalium, oxygen, and nitrogen. This research compound belongs to the family of high-entropy or complex ceramic oxides, designed to combine the thermal stability and hardness of refractory ceramics with potential catalytic or electronic properties from its transition-metal constituents. While not yet established in mainstream industrial production, materials in this class are being investigated for extreme-environment applications where conventional ceramics fail, particularly where both chemical inertness and electronic functionality are required.
