· JVASP-1660· RbSmS2

RbSmS2 is a ternary sulfide ceramic compound combining rubidium, samarium, and sulfur in a layered crystal structure. This is a specialized research material belonging to the rare-earth chalcogenide family, studied primarily for its electronic and optical properties rather than high-temperature structural applications. Interest in this compound centers on potential solid-state ionics, photonics, and quantum materials research, where the rare-earth element (samarium) and alkali-metal (rubidium) combination can produce unique electronic band structures and ion-transport characteristics that differ significantly from simpler binary sulfides.

Regulatory Screening

Environmental

RoHS, REACH, and Prop 65 statuses are validated against official substance lists (ECHA SVHC Candidate List, OEHHA Prop 65, RoHS Annex II). Other regulations are estimated from composition and material classification. All screening is a starting point for due diligence — always verify with your supplier before making compliance decisions.
