PmY is a rare-earth ceramic compound based on promethium oxide, belonging to the family of lanthanide ceramics with potential applications in high-temperature and radiation environments. While promethium compounds are primarily known in research and specialized nuclear contexts rather than mainstream industrial use, this material represents the ceramic family's capability for extreme thermal stability and radiation resistance. Engineers would consider PmY for niche applications requiring materials that maintain structural integrity under intense radiation or heat, though availability and cost typically limit adoption to defense, nuclear, or advanced research programs.

Environmental

RoHS, REACH, and Prop 65 statuses are validated against official substance lists (ECHA SVHC Candidate List, OEHHA Prop 65, RoHS Annex II). Other regulations are estimated from composition and material classification. All screening is a starting point for due diligence — always verify with your supplier before making compliance decisions.
