PmI3 is a promethium iodide ceramic compound belonging to the rare-earth halide family. This material is primarily of research and specialized nuclear/radiological interest rather than general industrial use, with applications emerging in radiation detection, nuclear medicine, and advanced materials research where promethium's radioactive properties and rare-earth chemistry are leveraged. Compared to stable alternatives, PmI3 offers unique luminescent and radiation-responsive characteristics that make it valuable in niche scientific and medical contexts, though handling requires appropriate nuclear safety protocols.

Regulatory Screening

Environmental

RoHS, REACH, and Prop 65 statuses are validated against official substance lists (ECHA SVHC Candidate List, OEHHA Prop 65, RoHS Annex II). Other regulations are estimated from composition and material classification. All screening is a starting point for due diligence — always verify with your supplier before making compliance decisions.
