PA12 (SLS, Formlabs Nylon 12 Powder, conditioned)

Formlabs Nylon 12 Powder is a PA12 grade for selective laser sintering, here in the conditioned state, with printed parts equilibrated to a standard laboratory atmosphere. Sintering in a heated powder bed leaves a grainy matte surface, some residual porosity and lower ductility along the build direction. The loose powder supports the part, so no support structures are needed, and parts are depowdered and usually bead blasted. Conditioning lets the polyamide reach its equilibrium moisture content, making it slightly less stiff and more ductile than dry as-printed parts. Parts are used for functional prototypes, jigs and fixtures, enclosures, snap fits and low-volume end-use components.
