Neodymium selenide (NdSe) is a rare-earth ceramic compound belonging to the rocksalt-structure family of lanthanide chalcogenides. This material is primarily investigated in research contexts for its potential in optoelectronic and photonic applications, particularly where rare-earth luminescence or semiconductor properties are needed. While not yet widely deployed in mainstream industrial production, NdSe and related rare-earth selenides are of interest in next-generation infrared emitters, scintillation detectors, and advanced solid-state laser host materials due to the unique electronic properties of neodymium.

RoHS, REACH, and Prop 65 statuses are validated against official substance lists (ECHA SVHC Candidate List, OEHHA Prop 65, RoHS Annex II). Other regulations are estimated from composition and material classification. All screening is a starting point for due diligence — always verify with your supplier before making compliance decisions.
