NaInF is an inorganic ceramic compound composed of sodium, indium, and fluorine elements, belonging to the fluoride ceramic family. This material is primarily of research and developmental interest for optoelectronic and photonic applications, particularly as a host matrix for rare-earth ions in laser systems and scintillation detectors. NaInF and related fluoride ceramics are valued for their high transparency across infrared wavelengths and low phonon energies, making them candidates for mid-IR optics, fiber laser amplifiers, and radiation detection systems where conventional oxide ceramics fall short.
