MgBIr is an intermetallic ceramic compound combining magnesium with boron and iridium elements. This is a research-phase material within the family of refractory intermetallics, studied primarily for its potential in extreme-temperature applications where conventional ceramics and superalloys reach their limits. The material's heavy iridium content and ceramic character suggest applications in aerospace and high-temperature structural applications, though commercial deployment remains limited pending further development of processing and mechanical characterization.

Regulatory Screening

Environmental

RoHS, REACH, and Prop 65 statuses are validated against official substance lists (ECHA SVHC Candidate List, OEHHA Prop 65, RoHS Annex II). Other regulations are estimated from composition and material classification. All screening is a starting point for due diligence — always verify with your supplier before making compliance decisions.
