LiIrO₂F is an experimental lithium iridium oxide fluoride ceramic compound under active research for energy storage and electrochemical applications. This mixed-anion ceramic combines lithium, iridium, and oxygen with fluorine substitution, a compositional strategy designed to enhance ionic conductivity and electrochemical stability compared to conventional oxide-only ceramics. While not yet commercially established, materials in this class are being investigated for next-generation solid-state battery cathodes and ionic conductor applications where high voltage operation and chemical stability are critical.
