Fiberon™ PETG-rCF08 is a 3D-printing FFF filament from Polymaker: a PETG matrix reinforced with 8 wt% recycled carbon fiber. The fibers nearly double the in-plane tensile modulus over neat PETG (3.7 GPa vs ~2 GPa) and improve surface finish, while the filament remains processable at conventional FFF temperatures (240–270 °C nozzle, 60–70 °C bed). Anisotropy is significant — through-thickness (Z) properties are 30–50 % lower than in-plane (X-Y) because of inter-layer bond limits. Glass transition is 70 °C and thermal decomposition begins at 432 °C. The filament is hygroscopic (store below 20 % RH) and abrasive; hardened-steel or ruby nozzles are recommended — brass nozzles wear out in roughly 9 hours of printing.
