3D Systems LaserForm CoCrF75 (A) is a cobalt-chromium-molybdenum alloy powder grade that laser powder bed fusion processes into dense metal parts. Rapid melt-pool solidification gives a very fine cellular-dendritic microstructure, with higher as-built strength and lower ductility than cast material and considerable residual stress, so parts are usually stress relieved on the build plate before removal. Overhangs need supports that are cut away afterwards. The rough as-built surface is commonly machined, blasted or polished, sometimes after hot isostatic pressing or solution heat treatment to homogenise the structure. Printed parts in it are used for dental frameworks and crowns, orthopaedic and other medical components, and heat- and wear-resistant industrial parts. Every value on this page is read from 3D Systems' own material data sheet — quoted, cited and dated — and is the maker's statement about printed material, not a measurement by MatWorld; none has yet been reviewed by a person.
