BeVFe is an experimental beryllium-vanadium-iron intermetallic compound that combines the lightweight and high-stiffness characteristics of beryllium with vanadium and iron reinforcement. This research-phase material is being investigated for applications requiring exceptional strength-to-weight ratios and elevated-temperature stability, particularly in aerospace and defense contexts where conventional alloys reach performance limits.
