2017 Aluminum
Verifiedmetal2017 Aluminum (T4) is a copper-alloyed aluminum with high strength and good machinability, historically used in aircraft structures and fasteners where moderate strength and damage tolerance are required. The T4 temper (solution heat-treated and naturally aged) provides a balance of strength and ductility suitable for riveted airframe applications, with tensile strength approximately 280–310 MPa and superior fatigue resistance compared to harder tempers.
