13Cr-8Ni Austenitic Stainless (var. 21)
metal13Cr-8Ni is a precipitation-hardening austenitic stainless steel combining chromium and nickel for corrosion resistance with aluminum and molybdenum additions to enable age-hardening strengthening. It is used in aerospace, defense, and high-performance industrial applications where a combination of corrosion resistance, high strength, and moderate toughness is required—particularly in moderately elevated temperature service where conventional martensitic stainless steels would be too brittle or austenitic grades insufficiently strong. The material represents a middle ground between soft, corrosion-resistant austenitic grades and harder but more corrosion-sensitive martensitic or precipitation-hardening alternatives.

RoHS, REACH, and Prop 65 statuses are validated against official substance lists (ECHA SVHC Candidate List, OEHHA Prop 65, RoHS Annex II). Other regulations are estimated from composition and material classification. All screening is a starting point for due diligence — always verify with your supplier before making compliance decisions.
